Gracie's Fav Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪

Soooooo You'll eat more dough than the cookies. It's inevitable. Fortunately, I know this from experience. And it makes 3 dozen (36)+ cookies. It's like the purse in Mary Poppins where she just keeps pulling things out of it somehow. Like that. But the cookie dough just keeps coming out of the bowl. It's a fairly large recipe.

Ingredients

3/4 Cup Sugar

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar

2 1/2 Cup Flour

1 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Baking Soda

a pinch or two of Salt

1 tsp Vanilla

2 eggs

1/2 Cup (1 stick) Butter

1/2 Cup (half stick) Crisco

1 Cup Mini Chocolate Chips

Directions

Oven: 350°

I recommend using a KitchenAid mixer.

Always combine (cream) together sugars & butters before adding anything to the dough!!

Combine wet and dry ingredients separately then combine slowly in mixer.

I recommend using a scooper for a precise cookie size but if you don’t have one of those you can use a basic tablespoon or just form the dough into one mega-cookie. That works too 😉

Bake for about 10 minutes. 8 minutes if you prefer softer cookies.

Place on cooling rack when finished baking - Do not leave cookies on the pan because they will continue baking!

So I really love this recipe but I hate that I use Crisco. It's really unhealthy and pretty gross. It also contains tons of Palm Oil (I will have a blog post about my ranting opinion soon😂). Although, Crisco makes the cookies super soft and last longer if you wanted to keep the cookies for a couple of days. So I mean there are goods and bads. If you would rather use more butter instead, the cookies turn out just fine! ;-)

Thank You for reading!

Enjoy 😊

Love,

Gracie Beth 💓
